History

The Afeefi, famous family of Imams and scholars, owns a small but very special collection, known as the Makhtotat al-Afeefi. The library located in the family home in Isawwiyya - Mount Scopus contains 43 manuscripts dedicated to astronomy (Falak) and science.

The manuscripts were microfilmed and can be read at the Islamic Heritage Centre.
