        <p>Henry Kendall studied architecture in the University of London from 1922 to 1927, before getting a practicum in urban planning in 1928.
He began his career as an urban planner in Malesia (1929-1932) and in England (1935). From 1936 and until the end of the British mandate (1948), he worked in Palestine and for the city of Jerusalem. Afterwards, Henry Kendall worked in Uganda (1948-1956), Zanzibar (1957-1958) and Ghana (1958-1962). Between 1963 and 1966, his activities in Jordan concerned the city of Jerusalem in particular. He then worked in Gibraltar (1967-1977) and was member of the Committee for Historic preservation of the English Countryside (1978-1983).</p>
