According to the telegram from the Ministry of Interior dated on the 16th of Aylûl (1)324, it has become necessary for Jerusalem carts, intestines, road upkeep, the courtyard of Damascus Gate and the aid for the children of al radîf? to be offered up for tax farming, starting from Aylûl until Shubât of the same year, in order to organize the budget for six months, and use the fees for the mentioned year. Upon organizing the budget, the revenues in addition to the treasury’s assets rounded from August of the same year reached 303200 piasters. In order to obtain (approval) from the treasury and start work according to the procedures, this decision was taken on the 30th of Aylûl (1)324 (13th of October 1908).
