Upon the Directorate of Telegraph and Post Organization’s nore dated 14 December 1908 and numbered 57, regarding the Dutch auction of the postal fees in Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Hebron. In accordance with the attached Dutch auction bills, the transferred costs of the said posts have been put on Dutch auction. It has been decided that the monthly fee of the nightly post driving between Jaffa and Jerusalem be undertaken by Reşid Dakkak at a rate of 1,800 piasters and the monthly fee of the post to be transferred from the center of Jerusalem to the railroad station be again undertaken by Reşid Dakkak at a rate of 450 piasters. It has been decided that the fee of driving in Hebron be undertaken at a rate of 150 piasters by İbrahim Al Şerabati under the guarantee of Muhammed Raşid Effendi from the townsfolk of Hebron; and that the fee of driving in Bethlehem be undertaken at a rate of 150 piasters by Mihail Talani (?). No one has shown interest to bid a lesser price than these. The 21st of Shubât (1)324 (6th of March 1909).
