In accordance with the rescript of the Sultan, a contract was made with a Merchant in order to import from Europe six pumps which are necesary to use in the sanjak of Jerusalem. Excepting the customs duty and the cost of transportation from Jaffa to here, the price of pumps reaches 131.5 French liras. Two pumps which are necessary for Jaffa and Ramla have been taken to the account of these kazas. As to the account of the price of the pump for the kaza Hebron, there is a need for 30 French liras. In order to notify that the amounts in question be sent here within a day or two, it is appropriate to send written decrees to the kaymakamlıks of Jaffa and Halilulrahman.
