Fifteen days ago, the police officer Halil Effendi, deployed at the Municipal Hospital spot for the purpose of protection, attacked the gardener Mehmed Şühedâ working at the same hospital. Yesterday, the police officer reiterated his action and aggression against the gardener. It is stated in this letter given by the municipal doctor that he also destroyed the fence made in order to separate the gardener’s room from the special room of the spot. Since it is unlawful for the police officer to act in this manner and assault the gardener, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to relevant authorities in order to take due legal action against the police officer and to relocate the said spot. The 1st of Mayîs (1)316 (14th of May 1900).
