Public bid attribution: The costs of the said reparation have been put to Dutch auction and in accordance with the Dutch auction bill enclosed herewith, it is appropriate that it be provided by Sheikh Hamid En-Niba (?) through the guarantee of Mehmed Al-Amd (?) at a rate of 1,230 kurusuh as respected current akçe. The 10th of Aylûl (1)310 (22nd of September 1894).

In consideration of the provisions in the tender specifications of the tax paid to the public measurer, it has been understood that the multazim of the tax paid to the public measurer shall collect a tax of 0.02 piasters for 1 İstanbul kile of any kind of cereal to be sold at the market and that he has no right to collect tax under any name other than this one. As claimed in the petition given by the multazim, he has no authority to obtain anything over the rental price of market places. It is appropriate to inform the Kaymakamlık of the Kaza of Hebron with a written decree that it is necessary to abide by longstanding conventions. Upon the petition by the multazim of the butchers’ tax for Bethlehem
As stated in the bill of the butchers’ tax for Jerusalem, monasteries are exempt from the butchers’ tax for the sheep to be slaughtered within the monastery or for those to be slaughtered at the slaughterhouse for the monastery. Hence, with respect to negotiating whether the sheep slaughtered for the monasteries in the said kaza are exempt from the butchers’ tax, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the Sanjak Administrative Council. About the need for petitioners to apply to the Court of First Instance: Since a suit was filed by the petitioners against the Greek monastery on account of a wall located at the mentioned place, the petitioners must first apply to the Court of First Instance for necessary actions to be taken later in respect thereof. Upon the petition by the town of Gaza
The provisions of the 3. article of the Municipal Regulation stipulate that slaughterhouses be constructed in proper places and that no livestock be slaughtered within the city. Therefore, in line with the longstanding convention, the rental cost of the slaughter house, constructed in Jerusalem at a distance from the dwellings, is exchanged for the intestines of the slaughtered sheep, taken and sold by the municipality. Although a slaughterhouse has been constructed by the Gaza municipality, it is appropriate to send a decree to the kaymakamlık of the said kaza in order to notify the petitioners that the rental cost must be paid either in cash or by way of giving intestines. About toilet reparation cost relegated to the municipal police force: As understood from the annotation by the municipal engineer, entrance to and exit from the petitioner’s house is obstructed since the toilet specified in the petition is really extremely dilapidated and there is a need for 320 piasters as respected current akçe for the reparation of the toilet. Eight families reside at the place where the toilet is located. When the cost of the toilet reparation is distributed among these eight families, 40 piasters fall to each of them. For the delivery of this money to our council, it is appropriate to relegate the matter to the municipal police force. The 29th of Mârt (1)315 (10th of April 1899).

Need to stop the construction of an unlicensed building relegated to the Municipal Police Force: It has been understood that the said buildings are being constructed on state land without any license. It is thus appropriate to relegate the matter to the Municipal Police Force so as to immediately stop the construction of these buildings and notify the said village muhtars to summon Halil Ali Muhammed, the owner of these buildings in construction. Every year a great number of visitors come from the Jaffa road. Although the difficulties run into while passing through this road were presented before, a request was made to the Mutasarrifate for the improvement of the road, and various means were used to reach this aim, no permission was given to take a decision as regards this issue. It is appropriate to relegate the problem to the Public Works Commission in order to discuss the improvement of the said road. The 6th of Nisân (1)311 (18th of April 1895).
