ff. 966-967v About the attitude of P. Stremoukhov (chief of the Asian Department of the Foreign ministry) to the mission: it should be limited only at pure ecclesiastical matters. Anyway, the existence of the mission is not threatened. Includes marginal notes, in Russian and red ink.

ff. 955-957v About the status of the mission. There are opinions in the Russian government, that it should be shortened and serve only helping Russian pilgrims and the poor. All political and social functions should belong to the Consulate. Kareev does not agree. Request about Archbishop Panelli, who adopted Orthodoxy. Includes marginal notes, in Russian and red ink.
