Decision to provide a building permit free of charge to nuns, 23 February 1910 (Gregorian calendar) - 10 Shubât 1325 (Ottoman fiscal calendar (Rumi)

Upon reviewing the application dated on the 8th of Shubât (1)325, presented under the signature of the head nun, and which was referred to this department, the recommended nun applied for a license to build two cisterns to collect sewage water in their nunnery; one on the road near the mentioned nunnery’s shops on Pool of Ma’man Allah road and the second near the Armenian land. The length of one of them is to be 10 meters and two meters wide, it is difficult to build the two cisterns inside the nunnery’s land because of lack of space. Since an earlier report from the health commissioner stated that sewage water should be removed from the road to maintain public health, and in order to remove the nunnery’s sewage water from the road, it has been decided to grant the license to the head nun to build the two water holes in the reported manner, on condition that that if a public sewer was built, they will be removed. These two holes should be strongly built to allow carts to pass as usual and return the carriage road to its former state. Since the nuns offer free service, the council has decided to issue the license free of charge. In order to obtain approval, this decision was taken on the 10th of Shubât (1)325 (23rd of February 1910).
