Collective petition of inhabitants of Bethlehem.

Complaints against the blessed of Bethlehem that he is trying to appoint Kanavatis as a mukhtar, while, when Todor Efendi came to them, at the order of His Beatitude, he announced that a new voting (Τeskili) should take place, according to the government decree (Nizami), which resulted in the old Mukhtars gaining majority. Realising this, the blessed of Bethlehem wrote the documents and gave them to Todor Efendi.. He has been using all means in order to appoint Kanavatis, but they don't want him, because he destroyed the neighbourhood of Anatri, he was responsible for the destruction of 1,000 olive trees, for which the inhabitants are now indebted 1,000 mecits, he cut the water supply for the inhabitants etc.

Petition sent by Hsen Vasne.

He rented the bath in Gethsemane and paid 75 liras for three years, on the agreement that repairs would be made, but no repair has taken place. The only construction was the building of an enclosure for the cesspool, which needs to be cleaned from debris and dirt. He is also requesting for the repair and change of the windows of the skylights; to plaster the rooms, to build a small room with wood so as to protect the house from the rain during the winter.

Petition sent by Priest Tziries.

When he was in Apoud he used to get a salary of 150 piasters, but now his salary decreased to 100 piasters. Because he is poor and he has always been willing to go wherever His Beatitude ordered him to go. He is asking for his salary to be raised again to 150 piasters.

Petition sent by Eleni Sxade Avat.

The blessed of Bethlehem notified her that, when Tziries Nassar heard the he was ordered to pay 9 liras for the Satve (Σάτβε), he replied that he is poor and he can't pay that much money; in addition, the stolen Satve wasn't worth 9 liras. She agreed to the ruling, because she gave her word, even though His Beatitude ordered for her not to receive any money. Nevertheless, Tziries is making money, because he is working with his brothers every day for 1 or 2 liras. This is why she is asking for justice. Or she is asking for a copy of the interrogation and the ruling, so that the government can confirm that Tziries is the only culprit and she will be able to get proper defense in the civil court.
