General Directorate of Public Safety

This catalogue includes tables of general crimes and criminal statistics as well as procedures about those who were treated as suspicious, crimes like fraud, pickpocketing, files about criminals involved into these crimes, the chasing and arresting of fugitives and about the sending of the unemployed, vagabonds and beggars to their homelands or proper regions, as well as the lists of weapons seized from the public.

This subseries includes statistical lists of crimes (wounding, robbery, kidnapping, etc.) except murder, arranged by provinces and sent to the centre (Constantinople?); feedbacks on police incidents (fire, sea accidents, suicide, etc.); reports about police employment in provinces and the state of police centres; correspondence regarding police schools; circulars published, etc.
