Following the war damage, a Joint Committee was created with the Armenian Orthodox Patriarch and the Abbot of the Dormition to raise funds in the United States. The Armenian Bishop Adjamian is sent to the United States to launch a movement similar to the one he had previously launched for the restoration of the Holy Sepulchre. Contacts are also being made with a Relief Fund composed of professors from the American University of Beirut as well as with the Prosecutor of Missions and the Director of Pilgrimages to the Holy Land in Holland have launched an activity in the Netherlands.
